With innovation, ergonomics, and sustainability at the forefront, Nilfisk is proud to unveil the curtain of the next generation of cleaning machines. The SC550 supports the vision for a cleaner, more sustainable future and a dedication to addressing the evolving needs of our industries and communities.

Global Director of ESG and Sustainability of Nilfisk Malene Thiele, says:

We wish to create a cleaner future for the coming generations by embedding sustainability into everything we do. The SC550 has been developed with this ambition in mind, significantly decreasing the use of water, energy and detergent consumption – along with the possibility of an even longer lifespan due to the possibility of easy repair. All this is bringing us one step further to deliver on Nilfisk’s sustainability commitments.”

Building on Nilfisk’s pioneering heritage, extensive global network, reliable and high-performance products, the Nilfisk SC550 is developed with an ideal of circularity at its core. It is prepared for recycled plastic and from 2025 the machine will contain up to 30% post-consumer recycled plastic. This is reflected in the colour of the machine, which has been chosen to make the use of recycled plastic possible.

Resource efficiency by default
Innovative design ensures a significant reduction in the consumption of water, power and detergent. The SC550 has built-in efficiency settings. Based on internal calculations, this can save up to 20% on energy, 40% on water, and 60% on detergent use compared to machines without this technology. This not only helps save resources, but it will also lower the cost of operating the machine.

Finally, the SC550 is designed for disassembly at its end of life. By reducing the number of metal-inserts it is faster to disassemble using fewer different tools.

The SC550 is launched today at the Interclean 2024 fair in Amsterdam.
