A strong climate score five years in a row
Nilfisk receives yet another A- for its climate efforts from CDP, an internationally recognized environmental disclosure platform.
With this latest CDP score, Nilfisk sustains its position in the leadership bracket of companies rated by CDP, renowned for its high standards in environmental reporting.
“Getting an A- for the fifth consecutive year showcases our commitment to climate action and demonstrates that data not only drives the ability to compare performance on companies’ carbon footprint disclosure, but also drives environmental action,” says Malene Thiele, Vice President, Global ESG & Sustainability at Nilfisk.
CDP continuously raises the bar for the reporting companies. Therefore, maintaining a high score year after year is an achievement that requires continuous improvement.
“For Nilfisk, CDP is a core reference. A score of A- since 2020 is a testament to our strategic climate efforts and to the power of data to drive change. The continuity is a sign that Nilfisk succeeds in upholding high standards, implementing current best practices, and reducing our carbon footprint, as part of our strategic direction.”
First Water Security score
In 2024, Nilfisk received a CDP Water Security score for the first time, achieving B-. Reporting on water security encompasses various aspects of water consumption, including the ability to reduce dependency on water sources and the capacity to collect and share water data.
“Water is essential for life, and we all need to think about how we are using this scarce resource. At Nilfisk, we challenge ourselves to innovate and design cleaning equipment that minimizes water usage,” says Malene Thiele, adding that, in the coming years, Nilfisk will further strengthen its reporting on water security.
In addition to CDP, Nilfisk discloses through EcoVadis and Sedex and has had approved Science-Based Targets (SBTi) for Scope 1, 2, and 3 since January 2022. Based on these efforts, Nilfisk is paving the way for an ongoing development as a truly sustainability-enabled organization.
