Nilfisk awarded prestigious prize for our annual reporting

The Confederation of Danish Industry and Danish Auditors in Denmark have awarded Nilfisk for our annual report 2021. It was marked as one of several award ceremonies at the annual event Årsrapportprisen 2022

Category:

The annual report is awarded for its high level of information, its clear link to the company strategy, for being well-written and for having a clear and prioritized structure.

The prize was given at a conference in Copenhagen with about 150 participants at the event and approximately 100 followers on webcast. All from major Danish and international companies. Nilfisk received the prize in the small and mid-cap category, whereas A.P Møller - Mærsk won the prize in the large-cap category. Reinhard Mayer, CFO, was interviewed on stage diving deeper into our financial strategy and received the prize on behalf of the team (see photo below):

"I would like to thank, not only the award committee for the prize but more importantly, the fabulous colleagues in the team, who have developed the framework for the annual report. The Nilfisk annual report strikes a good balance of insightful financial reporting and building credibility with investors and capital markets. I am so delighted that the committee have recognized the hard and inspirational teamwork that lay behind this," Reinhard says and is supplemented by Wannie Hansen, Head of Financial Reporting, Group Finance:

"It is a great honour to receive this award acknowledging the actual report but also the amazing team effort we have put into it. We have prioritized to cover the essence of the Nilfisk financial performance and tell it in a precise and inspiring way.

Elisabeth Klintholm, Head of Investor Relations & Group Communication, elaborates:

"In the process, we focused on making BP26 tangible with financial targets linked to our strategic priorities and optimization opportunities. It was a key objective in the annual report to make this link clear to our investors and following up on this is a priority in our financials going forward, says Elisabeth.

Facts:
The Award Committee highlighted the following in our annual reporting
  • Good strategy description and "our result" section in the management report - provide a relatively detailed (compared to the size of the company) analysis in the accounting section of the year's performance etc., both for financial and ESG performance.
  • Good ESG ratios; including some for G that we don't see elsewhere as well as a good description of diversity in management; including lack of competence
  • Good accounting section, with a fine balance between the "cutting clutter" and better reporting" thinking, and at the same time retained explanatory text to support the figures section. The financial part of the annual report thus appears with substance combined with a good structure.

Addresses many of the focus areas that the Referee Committee places importance on in 2022:
  • Cash flow statement provides, in conjunction with the performance section, a good and informative insight into the development of the company's cash flows
  • Significant estimates and estimates are well handled and presented
